New Armed Forces Day Event Salutes all Military, Families
across San Diego Region

Military Appreciation Month event aims to build support for U.S. military members and to raise funds to assist Navy and Marine Corps active duty, veterans and their families experiencing financial hardship.

(SAN DIEGO) – Marine Corps Aviation Association presents Navy Marine Corps P.R.O.U.D. Foundation’s inaugural PROUD to Walk for Those Who Serve charity event kicking off Armed Forces Day, Saturday May 15, and running through May 23, 2021.

The Navy Marine Corps P.R.O.U.D. Foundation created PROUD to Walk as a way to get Americans across the country to show their “Unwavering Devotion” to our U.S. military members and their families who sacrifice so much to keep our Nation safe.

“As a military spouse for 38 years I wanted to give back and help other military families,” shared Cathe Robling, Navy Marine Corps P.R.O.U.D. Foundation President.  “The Navy Marine Corps PROUD Foundation was formed 5 years ago to help military members in need and we have been able to help over 2,000 military members, both active duty and retired, to date,” Cathe added.

On Armed Forces Day, May 15, the PROUD to Walk event will host its event program aboard the USS Midway Museum as an in-person and virtual event Facebook livestreamed to walkers around the country.

Confirmed speakers include:
– U.S. Marine Corps retired Lieutenant General Terry Robling, Navy Marine Corps PROUD Foundation Advisory Board Member
– U.S. Navy retired Master Chief Petty Officer Maurice Wilson, National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. Executive Director.

PROUD to Walk would like to thank all of our sponsors:  Marine Corps Aviation Association, RIO Defense Development Group, Fireside Capital Advisors, HomeBridge Financial, Albertson’s/Vons and AleSmith Brewing Company.  More sponsorships are still available.
